Carol L. Senghaas, 59 of Wilmington passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 peacefully at her home.Carol was born in Wilmington, the daughter of Frances J. (Carroccia) and the late J. Paul Senghaas. She was a graduate of Padua Academy. Carol retired in 2003 after 21 years with the Wilmington Police Department as a senior Lieutenant. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, the Fraternal Order of Police and a former member of the Delaware Association of Police. She loved animals and enjoyed travelling.Carol is survived by her mother, Frances "Dolly" Senghaas; her sisters, Johanna Smith of Wilmington and Dori Logullo (Bob) of Bear; her brothers, J. Paul, Jr. (Stephanie) of Miami, FL, John of Newark and David of Garnet Valley, PA; her niece, Dana L. Macy; her nephew, Eli Senghaas and many aunts, and cousins.Carol's family would like to especially thanks Delaware Hospice Nurse Meghan for her care and compassion in caring for their sister.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12 Noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ninth and DuPont Streets, where friends may call after 9:30 AM.
