Carol A. Bush, 76, of Dover, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021 with her husband by her side. Carol was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Mildred (Dolan) and Frank Megginson. She was a graduate of Newark High School, class of 1962. In her lifetime, Carol operated an in-home daycare; worked as a paraprofessional at John G. Leach School; was a Secretary/Bookkeeper at Joseph Sprano Accounting Firm; and was a Teacher Aide for the Rehoboth School District. Carol loved and lived for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a Life member of the Christiana Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and her hobbies included boating, crabbing and crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Frank Megginson Jr. Carol is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred Bush Jr.; her daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Steve Ferriera of Evansville, IN, and Cheryl and Frank Hanna of Hartly; her son, Fred Bush III and his spouse, Louis of New Castle; her nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Viewing will be held at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Saturday July 31, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 AM with Services starting at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington immediately following. The family would like to invite guests to her home after.
