89 of Wilmington passed away on September 9, 2014 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her family.Betty was born in Fedralsburg, MD, the daughter of the late Emma and Lee Nichols. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, the Lady Elks at the Newark Elks Lodge and she enjoyed bowling at Pleasant Hills Lanes. She also loved line dancing at the Mid County Senior Center, knitting, crocheting and other crafts.Betty was predeceased by her husband, William P. Woods in 2011 and her siblings, Josie Evans, Barbara Gardener and Earl Nichols, Sr. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Howard and Adrienne and Gary and Denise and her daughter, Bonnie Woods Galvin; her grandchildren, Sam, Zac, Katy, Nate and Wes; her great-grandchildren, William, Annabelle and Coraline and her sister, Lois Rodek.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs and doctors of Windsor Place and Seasons Hospice for the exceptional care that was provided for Betty.Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15th at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road at 11 AM, where friends may call after 10 AM.
