Alice P. Elliott, age 93, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017 surrounded by her family.She was born in Wilmington, DE the daughter of the late Hannah (Kirlin) Quill. She retired from Pathmark Grocery Store as a head cashier.Alice was a member of Clarence Fraim Senior Center and Elsmere Senior Center. She loved Bingo, playing cards, completing puzzle books, bowling, taking trips, cruising, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharyn Lawhorne; sister, Margaret Olkowski; her four brothers, William, Francis, Thomas, and James Quill; and her former husband, William H. Elliott. Alice is survived by her three daughters, Maureen (Charles) Davis, Darlynn Knight, and Robyn Hodgson; son-in-law Clinton Lawhorne; a niece, Colleen Lawhorn (James) and nephew, Shaun Quill, whom she raised as her own children; 18 grandchildren, Elliott, Chuckie, Tracey, Chrystynn, Heather, Rynae, Jason, Bryan, Bucky, David, Christopher, Corey, Michael, Meggan, Robert, Stephen, Shaun, and Samantha; a sister, Catherine Lenoir; 23 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice, especially Beth.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington 19805.
