Obituary

Ada Marie Drozdowski, 82, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Ada was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Nina (Brand) and Earl Cantera. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1957 and went on to work for the DuPont company until she was married in 1958. She worked part-time for Wilmington Trust for over 20 years while raising her family. After her children were grown, Ada went on to work as a Legal Assistant at Cooch & Taylor and a few other law firms in Wilmington until she retired in 2008. She also worked part-time at Macys for many years before retiring in 2010. She cherished all animals, especially her cats and dog Muffin. She loved her home, enjoyed gardening, and took special time out of her day to make sure the birds and squirrels were fed. In addition to her parents, Ada was predeceased by her former husband, Bernard F. Drozdowski, Jr. and sister, Mary Ann Wycoff. Ada is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Wittmeyer of Wilmington; her sons, Bernard F. Drozdowski, III of Cheswold, DE and Daniel E. Drozdowski (Lisa) of Ft. Myers, FL; her grandchildren, Danielle Marie Wittmeyer, Richard G. Wittmeyer III, Ashley A. (Bryan) Duffy, and Katie L. Drozdowski; her great granddaughter, Julia L. Duffy; her nephew, great niece and nephew, and many close friends. Services and burial for Ada will be held privately.
