Charles F. Mealey, Jr. has been the president of Mealey Funeral Homes since 1995, when his father retired. He has worked at the funeral homes since he was old enough to cut grass. Like his father and grandfather before him, he graduated from Salesianum School, where he continues to devote much of his extra time. He is a University of Delaware graduate and he graduated cum laude from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is licensed in both Delaware and Maryland. Along with his charity work for Salesianum, Chick is also involved in the CYO, Ursuline Academy, and the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and several local golf events. He resides in the Wilmington - Hockessin area with his wife, Lucy, and three children. Lori Mealey Glandon joined the staff at Mealey Funeral Homes in 1993 to manage the business offices. As Chick's sister, she is often the first point of contact at the funeral home. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware and actively involved with the United Way of Delaware and in her children's activities. Her spare time revolves around her husband, Todd, and her two sons. They reside in Wilmington in the Cooper Farms area. James P. Keith joined the staff at Mealey Funeral Homes in 1997, and has been a licensed funeral director since 1995. Jim is a graduate of University of South Carolina, the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and the Eastern MBA program. Father of three, Jim is a scout leader and coaching assistant in several of his children's extracurricular events. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a golf enthusiast, and an avid outdoorsman. Jim lives in North Wilmington with his wife, Susan, his two sons and a daughter. Regina Giannone-Tyler, MSPC, joined the Mealey Funeral Homes in 2003 as the Bereavement Counselor and Community Liaison. She earned her graduate degree in Psychology and Theology from Neumann College in 1990 and has been helping families cope with loss ever since. Regina also works for First State Hospice as a Spiritual/Bereavement Coordinator and is the radio talk show host of "Mourning Comfort" on AM 1290 on Saturday mornings. Regina can often be found doing public speaking, inservice training, and supplying educational material for professional, educational and volunteer groups. Mother of two adult daughters, Regina resides in Wilmington with her husband, George. Edward "Eddie" W. Lally has been working for the funeral home for since the 1960's and is married to a third generation Mealey, Mary Lacy Lally. He became a full time employee in 1994. He previously worked for McHugh Electric, serving as president. He is a graduate of Salesianum, Goldey Beacom College and served in the National Guard. A lifetime resident of Wilmington, it is often joked that Eddie has met everyone or their brother. Marilyn Renai August has been the secretary at the funeral home since 1995. She earned an Associates Degree in business from the University of Delaware. Previously, she owned Renai’s Restaurant and worked for years in the food service industry in many capacities. Marilyn devotes her spring and summertime to baseball, being a lifelong fan of the game. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining. Marilyn has an adult son and she resides with her husband, Pat in the Pike Creek area. Marge Glandon, at her daughter-in-law’s request, joined the staff at the funeral home in January 2002. A registered nurse, she worked for Christiana Care Health Services for 23 years, retiring in 1996 as a psychiatric nurse. Marge’s love of cooking led to many years of employment at Kitchen Kapers, formerly Creative Cooking, and to a small catering business. She is the proud grandmother of four grandsons who keep her very active.
