Camilla G. Protto

Camilla G. Protto, age 58, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2017, in Chicago, IL. 

Born in Milan, Italy, Camilla was the daughter of the late Rosemary (Holder) and Cesare A. Protto, II. At the age of 6, she moved from Milan, Italy to Wilmington, DE. Camilla attended Wilmington Friends School and subsequently A.I. duPont High School. Her college years were spent at Towson University in Baltimore where she received her B.A. degree. Upon graduation from Towson, she relocated to Florida and eventually to Chicago. Camilla had a successful career as an Options Trader, Property Manager, and Realtor. In her spare time, Camilla enjoyed tennis, astrology, painting, jewelry making and caring for her beloved cats, Jasper, Casino, and Sage. 

Camilla is survived by her brother, Cesare; her sister, Deven (Gary Eve); nephews, Philip Protto and Henry Eve; niece, Josephine Eve; and by many loving friends in Delaware and Chicago. 

A visitation will be held from 11AM-12:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 12 PM on February 3, 2018 at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A private burial will be held at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Forgotten Cats,

Camie came home with my daughter, Karen, from Friends School and she became part of my family. When she visited Wilmington, we met up. In Chicago we IMed through facebook. Her loss for me is profound. Rest in Peace, my Sweetie.
